2026-27 GES Graduate Certificate Fellow

Anne Lindbergh is a PhD student in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology. As an undergraduate student at NC State, she received funding through the NC State Kelman Scholars Program to pursue research in the labs of Drs. Anna Whitfield and Marcé Lorenzen, where she studied virus-host protein interactions and transgenic organism development. Anne’s current research investigates virus infection and transmission in its insect host, as well as insect genomics and transcriptomics. She is particularly interested in the growing applications of genetic pest management in non-model insect vectors of agricultural pathogens.
