DESCRIPTION:MBTP-GES Exploring Case Studies Workshop\n*Note: This workshop is restricted to NC State faculty and students involved in the NIH Molecular Biotechnology Training Program.\nTuesday\, May 17\, 2022\, 9AM – 1PM\nFaculty Lounge\, 5231 Hunt Library \nWith the coaching of core faculty from the Genetic Engineering and Society Center\, groups of MBTP faculty mentors and trainees will focus on three specific controversies in biotechnology: \n\nSynthetic coral\nXenotransplantation\, and\nBiomining\n\nEach team will be charged with developing case materials in the form of a module that could be used in courses that explore social\, ethical\, and political issues in the life sciences. \nWhether you have attended all\, some\, or none of our workshops this past year\, please come!
