2026-27 GES Graduate Certificate Fellow

Kecheng is a PhD student in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State University. He holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Sichuan University and an M.S. in Supply Chain Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the analysis and optimization of industrial supply chains that convert agricultural residues into biofuels and other bioproducts. He is a contributor to the REFRAME project, which examines supply chain processes in bioproduct development and leverages AI to integrate and optimize previously fragmented modeling frameworks. The project aims to create an enhanced digital environment and open-source platform that addresses the computational and predictive limitations of traditional models. Within REFRAME, Kecheng primarily contributes to the development and optimization of mixed integer linear programming (MILP) models.
