Bio

Sebastian is a first-year Biomathematics graduate student interested in mathematical modeling of blood flow in vascular networks, medicine, and the ethical considerations of patient data acquisition for in silico patient models. He earned a B.S. in Biomathematics from Florida State University in May 2024. During his time there, he was introduced to mathematical modeling and inverse problems through an undergraduate research project on biofilm viscoelastic modeling. Since then, he has sought creative ways to combine his interests in medicine and modeling. His current research focuses on inverse problems in physiological computational fluid dynamics, with an emphasis on parameter estimation.
