GES Colloquium

The Genetic Engineering and Society (GES) Colloquium brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and community members to explore how emerging biotechnologies intersect with society, governance, ethics, and the environment.

The Fall 2026 series will feature national and international speakers joining via Zoom, alongside NC State and regional experts presenting in person. Each week offers an opportunity to hear new research, consider varied perspectives, and take part in conversations about the development and governance of biotechnology.

The Colloquium is free and open to everyone. You do not need to be affiliated with NC State to attend, and online participation is available from anywhere.
