Zoom Only | The incoming class of GES Graduate Minor Fellows share insights from their time spent with NC farmers learning about agbiotech in the field.
Join us for a student-led presentation on their experiences from the GES Field Course: FEW Impacts of Biotechnology in NC Agricultural Systems, led by Drs. Dominic Reisig, Fred Gould, and Dawn Rodriguez-Ward. The students will share insights from their immersive journey through agricultural sites in Raleigh, Clayton, and Columbia, NC, discussing local farming practices, interdisciplinary teamwork, and the impacts of genetically engineered crops on food, energy, and water systems. They will also highlight the diverse perspectives encountered from farmers, environmental groups, and local communities.
