Public Engagement in Science and Technology with Katie Barnhill-Dilling and Steve Frank | MBTP Faculty Mentors

February 11, 2022 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Public Engagement in Science and Technology

*Note: The MBTP Faculty Mentors workshop series is restricted to NC State faculty involved in the NIH Molecular Biotechnology Training Program.

Why is there so much energy and attention to public engagement in science and technology? Why do some scientists make it a priority? What are the challenges, benefits, and strategies of public engagement. This workshop will explore the motivations and techniques of public engagement with a particular eye toward how we mentor our graduate students to begin to learn these skills early in their career.
